CREANET - Network on creativity in the pre-school context

Length of the project: 36 months (October 2010-September 2013)

Objectives: The project aims at developing a forum of dicussion at European level on the theme of creativity in pre-school education.


The objectives of the network are:
A. To identify, compare and exchange the methodologies, approaches and environments favouring the development of creativity among children and teachers in the countries involved;
B. To increase the quality of the educational offer by promoting the competences/skills of the pre-school teaching staff on the issue of creativity;
C. To provide a European forum for discussion for those interested in creativity in the pre-school context;
D. To use creativity as a mean to favour educational and social inclusion of children and families belonging to minority and/or disadvantaged groups.

The network will promote best practices related to:
1) Creativity and indoor/outdoor contexts with a specific focus on
- Materials
- Spaces
- Relationships and Diversity (personal and social/intercultural development)


2) Creativity and expressive languages with a specific focus on
- artistic languages
- verbal language
- body language

Activities:

The project includes a wide range of activities: research carrried out by the universities, annual conferences, working group meetings involving pre-school teachers and training activities through national dissemination meetings.
