European Network on forward policies and actions for the seniors in Europe


Partners: Municipality of Parma, Municipalities of Trollhattan, Norrkoping, and Skovde, City of Worms and City of Tours, agency for social services Pedemontana Sociale.

Length of the project: 2 years (2009-2011)

Objectives: The general objective is to create a long term transnational network of cooperation on policies and actions for seniors.
In particular:
- to increase public and private services and products in a demand driven perspective;
- to stimulate and create joint and innovative actions for 60+;
- to increase elderly influence and responsibility on the decision making process.


Activities: 7 events from October 2009 (Kick-off meeting in Skovde) to September 2011 (evaluation meeting).
1st event: Future healthy elderly in Europe: who are they?
2nd event: Empowerment and active citizenship of the elderly
3rd event: Innovative housing solutions, policies and show-cases
4th event: ICT solutions for the elderly
5th event: Leisure, cultural activities and opportunities of socialisation
6th event: Conclusions
7th event: Evaluation meeting


Results: Exchange of best practices with the expected results of developing a long term innovative cooperation.
