Twinnovate: network of innovation in local development

Length of the project: 2 years (2009-2011)
Objectives: General objective is to create a long-standing
cooperation in order to develop creative projects;
- To find innovative solutions for local development to be implemented locally;
- To increase citizens’ participation;
- To increase networking among different target group of the project (local
public authorities, NGOs, private actors);
- To increase networking among participating organisations.
Activities: 5 events from September 2009 to April 2011.
1st event: Knowledge of the concept of local development and its components
2nd event: Concept of innovation for public actors
3rd event: Definition of the link between innovation, creativity and local
development for non-profit associations
4th event: Definition of the link between sustainable resources, innovation
in private sector and local development
5th event: Conclusion, evaluation and follow-up
Expected Results: Considering the involvement of different
target groups (public, private, non profit ones) and their different actions,
the expected results can be seen as specific for each group. Particular
attention will be put on:
- Innovative solutions/products for local development to be implemented
locally;
- Increasing in participation of citizens;
- Networking among different target groups locally;
- Networking among participants and participating organisations.
Indeed, seminars and conferences will be an opportunity for setting the basis of a long-standing cooperation and the expected results is the creation of conditions to develop new projects among the partners and the actors they will involve. The expected impact of the project will be both on the direct participants in the project meetings but also, with a multiplying effect, in the contexts in which they operate through a strong spill-over process.
