Network on Energy Efficiency
Partners:
Municipalities of Boden, Norrkoping, Falkoping, Trollhattan, Skovde, Vanersborg;
Municipalities of Forlì, Parma, Traversetolo, Russi; City of Tampere and
City of Peterborough.
Length of the project: 10 months (2009-2010)
Objectives: The general goal is linked to the EU goal
of reducing energy consumption and to introduce a more suitable energy use
by 2020.
Particular attention has to be put on:
- energy efficiency and territorial planning
- innovation in design in the building construction
- communication actions within the local sector
Activities: 2 events of three days each, one in Forlì in June 2009 and one in Boden in March 2010.
1st Event, Forlì, June 2009
Activities held in this meeting
- plenary session with presentations of national policies and the theme
of energy efficiency as a cross-cutting subject
- 4 working groups on:
1. Local strategies, communication tools and awareness raising actions at
local level
2. Sustainable city planning in the new residential areas with particular
focus on energy issues
3. Sustainable planning in the new industrial areas with particular focus
on energy issues
4. Improving energy efficiency in the urban context
2nd Event, Boden, March 2010
The activities planned for this meeting consist in presenting the results
of the workplan carried out by the partners between June and Jabuary and
the deepining of specific aspcts related to energy efficncy emerged in the
first event.
Expected Results: This project can be seen as the first
step for the development of a long term cooperation process on energy efficiency
related issues. The results of the first event have been substantial both
in the field of city planning, awareness raising actions towards specific
target grpups (pupils and school staff, civil servants) and the developemnt
of common project
