The objectives of DOT is to improve digital and pedagogical skills of the teachers by exchanging best practices about the learning strategies based on digital tools used in our preschools and to improve and consolidate the engagement between parents and pre-school teachers, by increasing family participation through digital tools in their children pre-school life.
The first objective of the project will be to improve digital and pedagogical skills of the teachers, by exchanging best practices about the learning strategies based on digital tools used in our pre-schools.
The second objective of the project will be to improve and consolidate the engagement between parents and pre-school teachers, by increasing family participation through digital tools in their children pre-school life. Moreover, they will also increase parents and children awareness about the opportunities and risks connected to digitalization and the use of digital tools.
The project foresees different types of activities:
- First Training Seminar on Digital Skills and tools for Teachers
The first training seminar will be held in Sweden and it will be focused on digital learning strategies that include the application of digital tools to the pre-school educational context and the acquisition of digital skills for teachers and educators.
- Second Training Seminar on Family Engagement in Education in a digital era
The second training seminar will be held in Italy and it will be focused on family engagement and how to explain the risks associated with digital tools, but also the opportunities they offer.
- Testing of the best practices and Publication
The testing of the selected best practices, working models and methods acquired by experts and observed in the partner countries’ pre-schools during the seminars will be implemented by partner schools in order to assess their transferability and practicability at local level.
- Final Transnational Meeting
The Final Transnational Meeting will be held in Italy and it will focus on changes, improvements and discussion about the outcomes and future perspectives linked to the digital skills and strategies to adopt with pupils and their families.
The results we would like to achieve, in addition to an improvement in the quality of our schools thanks to the acquisition of better skills by the teachers, are linked to the inclusion of different needs of children and families. In addition to this, the improvement of teachers' digital skills will help children and families in digital learning that it's something that can be exploited throughout the training course and beyond. Thank to this project we could support the international dimension of the involved pre-schools.
