IMPROVE – European mobility for the improvement of relational skills in the elderly care
The Consortium proposing the project consists of 6 organisations, in which the transnational SERN network will act as the project coordinator. The project envisage the setting up several training activities on elderly care in relation to the topic of dementia.
The consortium defined a European development training plan based on three areas for improvement:
Improving the intercultural skills of the staff
Developing skills in the valorisation of the staff working within elderly care services
Increasing the European dimension of training
The main objective of IMPROVE project is the acquisition of relational skills in the care of the elderly, with a particular focus on people with dementia
As far as concerned, the impact of the project, three macro areas can be identified:
Impact on individual participants: they will increase their professional, cultural and communication skills.
Impact on the target group: Staff employed in training staff will have new tools and multiple new information to use in their professional training activities.
Impact on participating organisations: they will use the training results achieved within the pathways of improving social and welfare services for the elderly.
The expected results of Improve project will be reflected in:
Improved ability to better manage intercultural dynamics within the work environment.
Improved ability to propose experimentation of innovative solutions.
a strengthened European dimension and greater internationalization within organisations.
In particular, participants are expected to acquire or improve the following skills:
- the intercultural skills of mobility staff
- skills in the valorisation of staff working with elderly care services
- capacity to cope with an European dimension of training
