The SECRETARIAT

The SERN Secretariat (currently based in Parma) has the task to ensure the effectiveness of the work carried out in the priority areas set of by the strategy, to foster the development of the network and to assist the members in establishing intra-network contacts. The Secretariat also supports the statutory bodies (Assembly, Executive Board, Chairperson, Presidium and Board of Auditors) in order to ensure an effective functioning of the association.

Nicola is the director of the Secretariat and he is responsible the strategic development of the network, membership development, relations with institutional partners and stakeholders, EU funded projects in which SERN acts as project leader.

Laura is mainly responsible for supporting the development of projects among the members as well as other tasks of general support to the activities of the Secretariat.

Ginevra is project officer at SERN Secretariat. She is responsible for supporting members in the development and implementation of projects.

Federica Gravina

Federica is project officer at SERN Secretariat. She is responsible for implementation of the ongoing projects within SERN and for the development of new ones.

Alessia Mereu

Assistant Communications Officer

Alessia is assistant communications officer at SERN. She manages the communication inside and outside the Network, as well as the dissemination of projects results.

Emma Örtenholm

Trainee

Emma started her internship in February after her thesis defence at Linköping Univeristy. She assists SERN’s staff and project groups to ensure a smooth development of the activities of the Network.
